WIAW (What I Ate Wednesday) is supposed to be a judgment free zone sharing the things bloggers ate on a particular day of the week. I usually pick Tuesday, just because it’s the day before Wednesday, but this week I picked it because while I was off enjoying a two week vacay, I rarely snapped any photos of what I ate… well, at least not a whole days worth of eating. Which brings me to what I ate yesterday… don’t judge me.
I was having a rough Tuesday morning… rough in the sense that by 10:30am the only thing that could possibly dry my stress tears was hot tea and chocolate cookies – a very balanced breakfast!
And whatdoyaknow, about 30 seconds before I took this photo I bumped into a wall, and spilled said tea all over my hand. It wouldn’t be a rough morning without a burnt hand to go along with it right?
I wanted to eat a grilled cheese sandwich for lunch, but after a vacation, and no grocery shopping, all that I could muster up was a handful of chips. I put them on the plate to control how much I actually ate… but what you can’t see in this photo is me, behind the camera, with my hand in the chip bag. No self control.
The day got worse before it got better. Australia increased their visa prices to $7000. What kind of 25 year old has an extra seven grand laying around so they can stay in a country with the person they love?? Cue stress tears, again.
So what does a broke girl do? Consult the boyfriend who said “mango fro-yo will make you feel better.”
It did. And when he got home from work we had a few Ferrero Rocher to celebrate his brilliant fro-yo suggestion.
Then went grocery shopping for the week so we could make our favorite Paleo Taj Mahal Curry, and tripled the raisins from The Clothes Make the Girl for dinner. We can’t be the only ones obsessed with warm raisins can we?
At least part of the day was healthy right?
And then I had another bowl of fro-yo… don’t judge me.
