Ok, so most people eat food – um, duh. And most people eat food while working a full time job.
In fact I dare to say 80% of the people who read this WIAW work full time.
If you checkout out Monday’s post of big changes then you know I just joined the ranks of you 80% with a full time job so I no longer have the luxury of photographing food at any hour of the day in the best light and with the best props – but after being out of the workforce for a year and a half I have a salary and that’s something I am happy about.
Breakfast is a priority every morning and this morning I was lucky enough to have Ben whip up Greek yogurt, banana, honey, and a cup of tea for me while I finished writing about Food Trends.
He also packed my lunch – what a catch!
Although I made him give me extra because it was definitely looking like I was going to be hungry with what was in my tupperware.
And… I didn’t actually eat all of that. All the veggies – yes. But the meat, no. It’s now my work snack for tomorrow.
By 4:30 when I was meant to get off work I ate a banana and plugged on another three hours preparing scripts and props for a commercial shoot tomorrow in addition to four events scheduled for the next month.
I am loving my job, but one of the hardest parts about accepting a position that was just created is that it was created out of a need and that means four events and marketing materials to be planned within six weeks of day 1. It’s a lot, but I know I can handle it.
Ben – still the trooper ran around town getting ingredients for our dinner and doing laundry while I worked the extra hours at work so when I got home all I needed to do was saute the calamari, prawns, ghee, and garlic and serve with zoodles.
I don’t see work slowing down anytime soon, but we do have a three day weekend coming up and I’m excited to kick back, relax, and finish unpacking the apartment.
