Every month I put together my favorite fashion wish lists, like here and here. This month I thought I would do something a bit different and show ya’ll my Christmas Wish List instead. I’ve put together a few gift guides this month for bloggers, foodies, stocking stuffers, and for the men in our lives…but this one is just for me (although a few things may look familiar).
Living 16,000 miles away from my family I wanted to keep my list simple, “just send money” is what I really wanted to say. But my mom, being the wonderful woman she is, insisted my first Christmas in Australia to be as similar to Christmas in America as possible, which meant she was sending gifts I could open on Christmas day. I sent my list to my mom back in November, hopefully she’s passed this along to Santa.
Ring Dishes: I am constantly taking off jewelry for showers, cooking, etc., and leaving rings and things all over the house (mostly on ledges over the sink – yikes!). While I didn’t ask for any specific ring dish, this platypus is too cute!
Turkish Towel: These towels are the bees knees! They dry incredibly fast, and are sand resistant; meaning at the beach sand won’t get caught in the little fibers, it just brushes right off!
Moscow Mule Mugs: Over the summer I was introduced to the Moscow Mule and the mugs. They keep drink super cold; perfect for cocktails, and water this summer.
Tea Towels: You can never have enough tea towels. As a blogger, and lover of taking food photos, tea towels come in handy for everything! I love simple towels, pineapples (obviously), or towels with cute sayings.
Home T: I fell in love with this tee the moment I saw it. Any reminder of home is an A+ for me at the holidays.
Ceramic Pie Dish: My mom has a ceramic pie dish and I think her pies look gorgeous in them; and… I may fill my apple pie up with so many apples it bends the middle of aluminum pans.
Frogg Toggs Chilly Cooling Towel: It’s really hot in Australia, and we have no air conditioning, the chilly cooling towel is essential from December to March even if only for using while watching TV.
Pie Server/Cake Cutter: Mostly to be used for food photography; and for all the pie we seem to be consuming these days!
Chillow Pillow: I’m an odd ball.. I must sleep under a blanket, and I must be cold. In a house with no a/c that’s near impossible but these pillows are known to keep your head cool – so I am all about it.
Cooling Bed Sheets: We bought a new duvet cover last month and I have been waiting for new sheets before setting up the bed. I asked for sheets designed for women with menopause, and with a low thread count, because they will keep us cool at night.
Beauty Blender: More of a stocking item I guess, and a need rather than want… but, it’s also not something I am running out to spend $20 on any time soon.
Colored Drinking Straws: Random, I know, but I make a lot of smoothies and photograph them. You can never have too many straws.
Can you tell I was just a bit warm during the making of this list?
Do you make a wish list to share with family and friends? Or would you rather be surprised?
What’s on your holiday list this year?
