Typically Golden Tote releases their spoilers for the following month a week ahead of their sale. For the June sale… not so much. I was waiting and waiting all week for some spoilers and what do you know? All of them were posted today!
As you might recall when I received my May tote I was SUPER excited, and then totally let down when it didn’t work out. I wasn’t sure if I would be purchasing a June tote, and after seeing the spoilers, I am still not convinced… knowing me I’ll look at the clothes all weekend, things will grow on me, and I’ll end up ordering anyway.
Golden Tote is a surprise grab bag service. Each month the girls at Golden Tote pull together a collection of gorgeous clothes and offer two tote sales:
- The $49 Tote: You select one item from the collection and they fill your tote with 1-2 more surprise pieces. You end up with a gorgeous collection of 2-3 items worth up to $200.
- The $149 Tote: You select two items from the collection and they will fill your tote with an additional 3-5 surprise items. When your tote arrives you have a beautiful bag with 5-7 items worth up to a $600 value.
All of the surprise items will be genuine surprises and not something you’ll have seen in their collection, picked specifically for you based on a style profile you fill out. You can also purchase additional items from that month and previous months collections in the online boutique until supplies run out.
I’ve read the June Golden Tote sale will include ample supply of each item so hopefully it isn’t a full on Black Friday-In-Online-Sale-Form like it has been before. Hope for the best and keep your fingers crossed… better yet, keep your fingers on your keyboard!
I am starting this month with my favorite… this printed rope dress. I love the crochet detail on this dress (reminds me of my favorite shirt from the May tote), and the back. I’m thinking this would look great with a lacy bandeau bra to cover up a bra strap in the back, like this blue bandeau from Aerie, or maybe it’s time to finally make a bra strap extender that will cross in the back and wrap around my stomach. A little pain for beauty? Why not!
Hoping the rope belt comes with it! Ann Taylor has a rope tassel belt the would work, but I am hoping that I don’t have to worry about purchasing a separate belt for this one.
For the past few months, Golden Tote has included a pair of adorable printed and/or slouchy pants in their totes and each month I think maybe, just maybe I could pull them off… and then I look down at my massive thighs and think, maybe not. GT is the perfect opportunity to step out of your comfort zone, but I think I need to try on printed pants before putting these in my tote. In any case, the pants are super cute! This top is also paired with some other options in the modeling photos, not sure if it will be in the tote, but I like it!
These dresses are screaming “Go Gators” to me! And although I’m a Knight (Go UCF!) if I were a Gator I would have to snatch these up right away and pair with the complimentary color. What are you waiting for Florida ladies?
I’m not positive but this dress looks vaguely similar to those Puella Maxi Dresses from last months tote. Love the tie back detail on this one!
Speaking of Puella Maxi Dresses… you know what would look great with those, or any maxi for that matter? This ombre chambray button down. Take a not-office-appropriate maxi dress, and transform it to a comfortable casual Friday look by throwing a chambray shirt overtop!
If you have been following my fashion posts you’ll notice in May I included a shirt/short printed combo in my May Wish List from J.Crew Factory. I think this is a fantastic choice for someone who is just making their way into the romper trend. You have the option to wear the shirt alone, shorts alone, or both together. The best part about the separates… easy access in the bathroom. Yep. I went there.
Also, that cute tank is making an appearance again, this time in both ivory and deep blue. Wondering if it really will be in the June Golden Tote.
Speaking of rompers, let’s just right into the romper section of the June Golden Tote sale. This denim romper will be in the tote this month and looks like a great lightweight denim option for the summer. I love the look of it for traveling and sightseeing. Seems like an outfit you’d be comfortable in all day!
Another romper in the tote is this adorable white lace romper. This reminds me of the perfect honeymoon getaway romper. I can just see it, post-wedding, on the beach, reading a book, relaxing with a tropical drink, gorgeous blue water, palm trees…….
I’m day dreaming, and no, I’m not getting married anytime soon. But if I was, you better believe, this romper would be mine!
This romper was teased in the May sale, and then was made available halfway through the month. I think the fabric on this is adorable and am loving it on the girls who have already bought it! You can see more photos of this romper in the Golden Tote Facebook Group.
Not a romper, but similar, this colorful pants suit is another favorite of the month. Now if you know me you might be saying, “Uh Andrea, did you fall over and bump your head? This is a lot of pattern for you.” And you would be right – not about the bumping my head part though. It is a lot of pattern, and a bit out of my comfort zone, but that isn’t stopping me from loving the outfit on the left and strongly considering it as an add on this month in case I need to return.
I feel somewhat lucky that when the mini skirts made it into a tote I am not in the same country as my boyfriend. Typically I show him everything I like in the sale, and then have him go through and pick out his favorites. I know this would make his list because… well… legs. I on the other hand, think I passed the mini skirt phase of my life years ago and will stick to knee length dresses and maxis for the foreseeable future. They are definitely cute though, even my mom (my new opinion giver while I am in America) said this would be a great choice for me… I just don’t see it happening.
This white embroidered dress is the same as the denim dress from May, just “lighter” and white. I think it’s adorable, but I don’t think I could attempt to pull off the white dress with my pale skin. I do really like that denim one from last month. It is sold out, but I found a similar dress at J.Crew Factory (could you tell that’s my favorite store) that I really like, on sale now, but I am waiting for it to go on clearance before purchasing. If Golden Tote would bring back the embroidered denim dress from last month that would solve all my problems. Wishful thinking…
Now this looks office appropriate! I really like this black skirt for the office with a cute blouse and blazer. A great piece that can be easily worn year-round!
This dress is like a cross between the flower shirts from last month, and the Woo Midi Dress in April. Adorable dress for the summer.
Let’s talk office appropriate again. What I love about this top is that it can double for both office attire (depending on the office) and a casual top to wear out and about. I am wondering if it is printed or embroidered as I cannot tell from the photos. Regardless, this one is really cute and versatile.
Also, those black pants on the left may also be in the June sale, and if they are…. oh boy! I’ll keep you posted on those.
Be the perfect wedding guest in these dresses. Summer seems to be wedding season, I already know a couple girls who have celebrated their nuptials this past weekend and more to come this summer. I think these maxi’s are great for an outdoor or beach wedding this summer. Oh, and before I forget, this dress can be summed up in one word: pockets.
I thought about saving this one for the end as we saw it in the April Tote, however, since I am on the subject of weddings I thought I would share another Golden Tote perfect summer wedding guest dress. Wow that was a long way to describe these maxis. These dresses were so popular in April GT brought it back for the June sale, and I have already seen on Facebook girls are going crazy for them before the sale has even begun!
Adorable! I really like this dress, and if my closet didn’t consist of stripes, stripes, and more stripes, I would definitely include this on my tote wish list. It reminds me of the Priddy surprise dresses in last months tote, but unlike those this has a more defined waist which could be really good for those of us girls who are a bit curvier.
Wait a minute.. What’s that I see?
Hellllooooo pockets! This dress just bumped up 5 notches in my book.
I really don’t think I could pull these off. That colorful pant suit – yes, these pants – not so much! I see these more as a beach cover up for myself personally, but for someone else, these look like an awesome summer bell bottom channeling your inner 70’s hippie.
Channeling my inner flower child for this one just as above! Maybe it’s because of those flared leg jeans, but I see this as a total throwback tank with a modern edge. Love the embroidery and the cross stitch fabric on the top.
Just as I put my favorite first, I put another favorite last. This whole outfit takes me back to the 90’s! Although the shorts are not a part of the sale I love them and they totally remind me of a pair I owned as a kid, drawstring waist and all! And those shoes… I was going to wait until next week to include these on my June Wish List (so don’t be surprised if you see them in a few days) but I love this style of sandal and cannot wait to order a pair! Basically, I want this whole outfit!
That’s all folks!… for now. As I find out more information like what tote you might see an item in, $49 or $149 I’ll update this post.
The June Golden Tote sale begins on Monday, June 2nd at 9am Pacific, 12pm Eastern, and 2am Tuesday in Sydney. I’ll update after the sale begins and let you know if and what I ended up purchasing. Are you purchasing a tote this month? What are your favorites?
Update: With so much to choose from this month, and not the strongest inclination I was going to buy a tote you must be curious what I decided to do. I ended up buying a $49 tote, and 3 other items from the boutique. Yes, I could have bought the $149 tote and received more surprise items, but for me, I knew what I wanted, and didn’t want to take up too much room in my suitcase for my return to Australia. I also want to have the option to return things if they don’t work out. Here’s what I picked for my $49 tote.
Here’s what I ended up with from the boutique.
The tote should ship later this month, and I will get my review up prior to my return to Australia.
