Happy Friday!! I hope yall had a fantastic week. The last two weeks have been the most productive in a long time, and I am planning on carrying that momentum into the weekend and next week. Before I get into my Friday Favorites I just want to send a huge congratulations over to Amanda from Meet @ The Barre who is getting married today!
Now onto the favorites.
Favorite Meal: Zoodles
I wish I could tell you what I put into this meal from WIAW, but I seriously just started dumping things in a pot and it turned out fantastic. I do remember how to make zoodles and they have become my favorite new Whole30 meal and I have a feeling I’ll be making zoodle pasta all the time now!
Favorite Funny: Aunt Boo “I Wish I Could Choke the Cast of Frozen”
I have never watched this woman’s videos, but she had me cracking up this morning.
I am a Frozen lover, but after three days, I would probably want to choke them all too.
Favorite New Purchase: Electronic Toothbrush
I know this sounds silly, but my electric toothbrush is the best purchase of the week. My old one from America crapped out on me in September and since then I have been using a regular $3 toothbrush. I am loving this new Colgate Pro Clinical C200 that Ben and I got earlier this week. My mouth hasn’t this clean in a long time!
I just realized I made that sound like I used to have a dirty mouth. Whoops.
Favorite TV Show: How to Get Away With Murder
I always said Australia was 50 years behind – maybe we are actually just six months. I hadn’t really heard about HTGAWM until the Golden Globes a few weeks ago but it sounded good and I’m a Scandal fan so I figured I would give it a go. Ben and I were hooked after the first episode and have watched the first half of season 1. We are saving the 2nd half for our flight to America in a few weeks, six to be exact!
Favorite Home Workout: Yoga Studio App
Since we started a diet this week we have decided to make working out or doing yoga five days a week a goal for the next thirty days. My mom told me about this app, Yoga Studio, that gives you yoga classes to follow, or the ability to piece together your favorite stretches for your own custom class. There is also an option to schedule a class into the calendar on your phone to hold you accountable just like a real class – but with a major price savings. I’m talkin less than $4 for the app and all features compared to $15 a class in most studios.
This has become my go to option during the week, and one class in an actual studio on the weekends.
That’s all for now. I’m headed to the beach this weekend to watch the final rounds of SurfFest (the biggest surfing competition in Australia), and the Academy Awards to see if my Oscar predictions were correct.
What are your weekend plans?
