Happy Friday!! I’m ready for my first Friday Favorites of 2015.. can you believe it?
BUSY day ahead of me (my slow computer accidently capitalized “busy” and I’m keeping it to accurately describe this day). So let’s get into it.
Favorite Song: Taylor Swift – Blank Space
You know when there are really popular songs everyone is talking about and you put off listening to them as long as possible? Oh, that’s only me. Well, Blank Space is one of them. Over my holiday I heard Blank Space while shopping and instantly Shizammed it because it’s awesome!!
Favorite Man Person: Ben
I am not a very sappy person, and my favorite man person will attest to that. But Ben made my favorites this week because not only has he been working really hard to get a new job in Melbourne… but after finding out we have to pay $7000 for me to stay in Australia, he has worked his tail off this week calling his connections to find me a job as well. It’s paid off with an interview this afternoon!
This photo is particular is special because I have never seen Ben wear a suit, ever (aside from old photos,) and he ordered this one for his interviews. I just about fell over when he put it on. I would hire this fella in a heartbeat!
Favorite Collaboration: Lilly Pulitzer for Target
So happy to hear about this collaboration, so disappointed it goes on sale four days after I leave America.
Favorite Funny: Jimmy Fallon and Nicole Kidman
I do the same thing with videos I do with songs… try not to watch the thing that keeps appearing all over my newsfeed because how funny could this really be? Turns out all 9 minutes are hilarious, and a must watch!
Favorite Breakfast: Fluffy Paleo Pancakes
Over the break I found this recipe for fluffy paleo pancakes… I have done paleo pancakes before – they were lumpy mushy balls of weird batter. This recipe from Paleo Hacks is amazing!! (and fluffy).
I may have a paleo pancake recipe coming to the blog soon with this as a base.. Stay tuned!
(I am terrible with planning – could be next week, or next month… shrugs shoulders)
Favorite Australian Mexican: Mad Mex
I am on a mission to find the closest thing to Chipotle in Australia. If Chipotle is a 10, Mad Mex is an 8. It’s an hour away but we eat it once a week!
I’m off to get some job assessments done, video interview, and then my bi-weekly email (which is now off by a week due to traveling in the Outback). It’s going to be a lighter email, but heavy on Outback photos so if you aren’t already subscribed, get yourself on this list!
Oh, and respond to comments/read all your lovely blogs. Sorry for being a slacker this week.
What are your plans for the weekend?
