Happy Friday!! Is it just me or has this week flown by?
We had the Melbourne Cup on Tuesday, and a nephew born Wednesday.. with all the excitement around our house I was just expecting another baby to pop out of somewhere Thursday, or a cake to randomly appear on my doorstep this morning – no such luck.
Favorite Song: One of These Things First by Nick Drake
There actually isn’t a video to go along with the song because it’s from the 1970’s, but if you are on a computer you can play the video in the post while you continue reading the rest of the Friday Favorites.
Favorite Baby Gift: The Cutest Onesies
This week Ben and the rest of the guys we live with all became uncles to the same little boy (we live with Ben’s Sister-in-Law’s brothers) – I think in addition to being a girlfriend and housemate of the uncles I am an unofficial aunt right? In saying that, since the birth of the little prince I haven’t stopped looking at gifts for the new baby and mum. These are some of my favorite onesies for the little guy.
Favorite Funny: Home Depot mending more than just your home, with John Oliver.
I had no idea Lowes was testing out robots as sales people, this video was not only informing, but absolutely hilarious!!
Favorite Market Find: Tea Towels
Call me crazy, but I love tea towels. Every time we go to the farmers markets I am instantly drawn to the tents selling anything for the kitchen. Last weekend at the Olive Tree Markets we came across Sketch & Jones who makes gorgeous Tea Towels, poofs, and pillows. I stood over those tea towels for long enough to lose Ben… now I just need to decide which ones I want!
Favorite Cute Moment: This Kid
This is not just a cute moment… this is like omg, it’s so cute I may have died from all the cuteness cute!!

Favorite Aussie/American Find: USA Foods
Earlier this week I was chatting about making Christmas cookies for, well Christmas, duh. I told Ben I would make the lemon kisses and chocolate cookies my mom always makes… but he started to look at me funny. The I realized he has no idea what a Hershey’s kiss is! I showed him a photo, it didn’t ring a bell, he even asked how to eat one. I googled Hershey’s kisses in Australia and found USA Foods – a website that imports American favorites like canned pumpkin, pop tarts, twinkies, yoo hoo, and Dr. Pepper, among tons of other things. Although a bag of kisses is $6 on their website I think it’s worth it for a Christmas treat Ben and his family have never experienced before!
Before I’m done I can’t forget to wish my little sister, who turns 23 tomorrow, a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
