Happy Friday!!! Although this week was no different than the last, allergies in the form of hay fever have made it seem endless. I’m hoping for a reset over the weekend so I can tackle a few huge projects next week. Until then… the Friday Favorites.
Favorite Song: Leave the Night On by Sam Hunt
I am really liking Sam Hunt this week, and this is one of those songs I just can’t get out of my head.
Favorite Snack: Smoothies
My hay fever, silly name for itchy eyes, runny nose, constantly tired allergies kept me in bed all day yesterday, by 4pm the most I had done was take a nap… and then I realized I hadn’t had a smoothie all day. I got into the habit a few weeks ago of making a smoothie with breakfast every day, and now it seems I can’t function without one. I made this one with mango, a clementine, banana, and 100% pure fruit juice and it perked me right up! yes, that is a giant smoothie – they aren’t usually that big, but I was using up a lot of fruit before it goes bad, and the last of the juice.
Favorite Funny: Real Dogs, Fake Paws
After last week’s Kevin and Grandma video I wasn’t sure how I’d be able to live up to the funny… There’s a long into to the video but stick with it until the 2 minute mark and you’ll be glad you did.
Favorite TV Show: Boardwalk Empire
We are super behind on Boardwalk, but absolutely love it. We try to knock out an episode every night and are about halfway through season 2. I am convinced I should have lived in the 1920’s. If you love 1920’s, prohibition history, and mob stories, you’ll love this one! Check out the Season 1 trailer.
Favorite Apartment Inspiration: All blue errthing!
Last weekend Ben and I popped into Bed Bath n’ Table after this bed quilt caught my attention. We’ve been planning to decorate in shades of blue with beachy accents, and I just love this in-store wall as inspiration.
Favorite Movie: The Lunchbox
If you saw my Weekend Recap you know we went to the coolest movie little indie theatre on Sunday afternoon and saw The Lunchbox. I cannot begin to tell you how good this movie was, and just had to share it with you one more time because I literally cannot stop talking about it. If you can’t find it at Redbox (being in Australia I have no idea what’s out in America) it is available to purchase on iTunes.
We are off to the farm for the weekend to catch up with Ben’s family, fingers crossed we will be meeting a new niece or nephew any day now… it’s also going to be 100° out there and only October.. wish me luck!
I’ll recap the weekend on Monday, see ya then!
