Don’t ask me why I started doing my Friday Favorites in roman numerals 29+ weeks (I missed a few) ago, but each week I start writing the title, then hop over to google and figure out how to write each number as a roman numeral. Do they teach this stuff in school?
A little business first.. on Monday I co-hosted a giveaway with a group of other bloggers. Check out the post and get yourself entered. I posted my November Wish List Tuesday and it’s got the best looking scarf/wrap ever!! And, I decided this year will be the first time I order Christmas Cards and need a bit of help picking one. Can you help me??
Now for my favorites…
Favorite Song: Stockholm Syndrome by One Direction
This is the last week of songs that aren’t Christmas music in the favorites… I am looking forward to next week!!
And I can’t believe I am really liking One Direction – this isn’t the only new song of theirs I like. I’m shocking myself here.
Favorite Funny: 33 People Having a Worse Day than You
I shared this on my facebook page earlier this week, because I got a major kick out of it! I may have laughed so hard I snorted. I’m still trying to figure out how a car ends up in a pool.
Favorite Tee: HOME T
I saw this tee on Eat Drink and be Mary yesterday, and to say I am obsessed is an understatement. I want a Florida shirt in every style… and pillow case, and bag. I want the yall design. I want it all. Dear mom (who I know reads this every week), add this to the Christmas list.
Favorite Movie Preview(s): Pitch Perfect 2 and That Sugar Movie
This year I learned I am a movie buff – seriously I see a movie in a theatre at least once a week, and watch movies at home a few nights of the week as well. These are two movies I am super excited about…
Pitch Perfect was hilarious and wonderful – I am expecting the same from #2!
Favorite Thanksgiving Food: Toss up! Pumpkin Bread or Pecan Pie…
And then there are the sweet potatoes… and the warm fruit compote. Oh boy! I just cannot wait for next week! Mom sent me all of our traditional recipes and I got a box of goodies from USA Foods. I just can’t wait to bring some American foods and traditions Down Under!
Favorite Thanksgiving Tradition: Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade
So it’s more than just the parade itself, it’s really the Rockettes that make the parade. Every year when the Rockettes are about to preform my name gets yelled through the house to make sure I am watching. I have always wanted to be a Rockette, and I would have auditioned a few years ago….. unfortunately they don’t have a Rockettes for People with Short Legs so I would never make it in an audition.
I’m keeping my fingers crossed they show the parade on TV in Australia this year. Oh, and in case you are wondering, height measurements are taken at the audition and you must be between 5’6″ and 5’10 1/2″ to be a Rockette.
102° here today, no a/c so I am off to the beach.
What are yall up to this weekend?
