Happy Friday Favorites #64!!
Today I am headed out west for Mrs. J’s birthday weekend on the farm – lots of cows, sheep, kangroos, and fun babies in my weekend plans. It’s our first trip out there since May so this trip is long over due!
I’ve got a big announcement coming up next week too, watch this space!
Favorite Find: 19 Items for Anyone Who Loves Sleeping More Than People
Ok, yep, that’s me! Give me a bed and pillow… heck, just a pillow. I will sleep anywhere. Favorite Funny: Activewear
Raise your hand if you are guilty of doing everything in your yoga pants!!
Favorite Pick Me Up: Di Bella Coffee
We hardly ever buy nice coffee beans as we are typically instant drinkers but this week we took the plunge – literally! We’ve got good beans, a coffee plunger, and have started making
good delicious coffee at home! Recently we got a bag of Di Bella Coffee the Nero blend which is a strong blend of aniseed and dark chocolate aromas paired with flavors of honeycomb, chocolate and berries. It’s a beautiful blend and for all you non coffee drinkers this is a great coffee blend to enhance chocolate while baking small batch dark chocolate and sea salt cookies!
Favorite Dinner: The Old George & Dragon
Late night Ben took me out on our first “date.” The first time we have ever made reservations, gotten dolled up, and gone to dinner for a reason other than a special occasion… this time was for absolutely no reason at all! He didn’t give me any indication of where we were going and I was blown away that he chose a hatted (top rated in Australia) restaurant. I didn’t pull out a phone to take photos of this one (so unlike me – thankful they had an interior shot on their website) and enjoyed my night with Ben at a small table next to the fireplace.
At the end of dinner we were the only two in the room and the chef came out and had a great chat about fine dining around Newcastle and about chili dogs, deep dish pizza, and a proper Philly Cheesesteak – gotta love a chef that loves the cheese wiz! Favorite Post Workout Smoothie: Pineapple, Mango, Banana
I’ve been working out like a crazy lady the past few weeks with Ben and my absolute favorite post workout smoothie has been a combo of pineapple, mango, banana, and protein powder. Throw that in the blender with a bit of milk and water and you’ve got a super filling post workout smoothie/breakfast!
That’s that peeps!
I’m off to the farm for a few days. What are yall up to this weekend?
