Friday Favorites is back!
It’s one of my favorite posts of the week so I couldn’t just let it die with number 50 as my schedule got busy.
Favorite Dress: Country Road V-Neck Knit
I have been looking for a nice warm dress to wear for Ben’s 10 year high school reunion next weekend and I think I might have settled on this one and some booties. I am going to do a little shopping this weekend to find something perfect… and with the holiday Monday I”ll have an extra day to shop around and snag things up with the sales.
Favorite Work Moment: Directing a TV Commercial
Did you hear? I got a full time job in Australia!?
It’s in sports event planning which is what I was doing in America but instead of at the pro level I am working for a sports academy that helps to develop and prepare talented students into professional athletes. We are a small organization of four people which means that my position runs the gamut of everything events related including developing a commercial to promote an event.
Favorite Funny: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver
I have wanted to share this video for the longest time. It might be old news but it is hilarious!!
Favorite Design Inspiration: Freedom Furniture
We’ve been living in our new place for about three weeks now and still have not decorated a thing – or unfinished packing for that matter. We popped into Freedom Furniture on Sunday and the blanket popped out to me and I just started designing from there. I want it all but I’ve priced it out at $550 which is a bit out of my budget at the moment. Our new couch is actually white, so don’t be thrown off by the brown leather couch. And I won’t be putting pots or plants on the couch – but I do love the colors.
Favorite Sports Moment: Lightning Win the Semifinals
We had the whole pub cheering Go Bolts in Australia on Saturday morning as the Lightning won the final game of the Stanley Cup semifinals over the New York Rangers.
Ok… so the whole pub was really just Ben and I.
I’m off to enjoy my weekend which as I wrote this post became packed with a rugby game, trip to Sydney, and upacking/decorating… thank goodness it’s the Queen’s Birthday!
What are your favorite things this week?
